SPEMFS

I was adopted last night. HEHEHE Last night our church had student adoptions. As many of you know, I am at Wildwood College of Health Evangelism. Outreach is a big part of what we do. So someone had the idea to have the students join the church families. Our families will be our outreach groups and we will work together and such. Anyway now I have two extra sets of parents, six sisters and five brothers. It was cool getting to know my new "family" last night. We ate together for the first time, learned each other's names, and learned something about the person. Last night somebody told about a study done with family relationships. How with two people you have two ways the relationship goes. With three there are six ways of relationship, and so on. He said that the highest number of meaningful close relationships you can have is with twelve people. Any more and the relations start to break down. He talked about how the family is the basic structure of society. Once the family breaks down, society doesn't work anymore. These are the disjointed ramblings of your friend Gabe. Enjoy!!!

Hey Gabe, that's really cool. So what kind of outreach have you been doing?

Well, We often go to the nursing home in Rossville, GA. We will be doing some cooking classes and health expo's. For witnessing class each student needs to do 10 hours of witnessing. Our families will be going door to door in the area offering bible studies, health classes, and stuff like that.

In case you didn't know, the discussion is about the role of family in the society. What part does it play and how important is it?
